  • Silver Age Yoga
    San Diego-based Silver Age Yoga specializes in teaching yoga to seniors (and teaching yoga teachers to teach seniors), including seniors who are blind or visually impaired.
  • TeraMundi World Wellness
    TeraMundi World Wellness is a not-for-profit organization founded by Joseph & Lillian LePage in an effort to get therapeutic yoga to underserved populations. TeraMundi grants funds to certified yoga instructors for specific programs and populations, but also provides expertise in setting up and implementation of these programs. Among other programs, TeraMundi has funded Yoga for the Deaf and Blind programs.

  • VIYM™ (Visually Impaired Yoga Mat) by Rousettus
    This yoga mat was designed to enable those who are blind, partially blind or who may face physical challenges due to age or disability to practice yoga safely and confidently. The thick mat has raised and depressed features, strategically placed to help practitioners feel where their hands, feet and head should be placed.

  • Faith Yoga
    Faith Yoga is a vinyasa-inspired system of yoga postures that was developed by Cephus Primo Jones (Primo) to introduce yoga to the blind population. Classes are offered in south Florida.
  • Inner Sight Yoga
    Through working with one of her students over a six-month period and then through teaching classes at a center for the blind and visually impaired, Krassi Harwell developed the ability to lead a group yoga class without relying on visual cues. Instead, she honed her ability to verbalize instructions in a clear and succinct manner.
  • LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired in San Francisco
    This is one of the LightHouse locations that has an established yoga program.
  • Resilience for Life
    Yoga teacher Jaymie Meyer has considerable experience working with blind and visually impaired students and has published on the topic.
